Mike King is an Assistant Professor in the Criminal Justice department at Bridgewater State University. He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California – Santa Cruz in 2013. His research generally focuses on social movements, policing and race. His writing has recently been featured in the journals Race & Class and Critical Criminology, and he is also a regular contributor to the online magazine Counterpunch. He is currently working on a book which examines race, political affect and the rise of far-Right political movements.
